This term, for focusing on my self-reflection and development, I will be doing a SWOT analysis. For those of you who don’t know what SWOT is - it is a technique for assessing four aspects of a person or a business. As the name suggests, the four aspects are Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.

While doing this, I asked my friend’s opinions of me to help judge myself better. My strengths include being organized, responsible and patient. I also believe I have the capability of learning. In hard skills, I can say that I am good at dancing, drawing, and am creative. For the weaknesses, I am an introvert and experience social anxiety, which hinders me from networking and having social skills. I am an over-thinker which makes me conscious and a people pleaser. I also tend to procrastinate and be lazy.

As a student, the opportunities placed in front of me include participation in competitions, organizing events, internships, and jobs. The threats that I face today are mainly because of the Covid-19 global pandemic. I also believe that competition from my peers is a threat for me.

Post analyzing, I gained great insight into myself and am aware of where I am going wrong. To make my weaknesses into my strength, I will work hard, go out, interact with people. This will help me in my future as my career requires me to know people and do a lot of networking. As a procrastinator, I have been working on it by doing little work every day and not piling it up. Sometimes I fail, sometimes I succeed, but it's all part of the process.
