With this term comes the end of my academic year leading up to the awaited graduation. Being barely a month away from graduating, there are lots of responsibilities and pressure to give my best.
This term, I had Future Fashion Project and FutureProof Personal Development as my 2 modules. Eunoia, a mock-up sustainable brand for mid-sized corset tops, was created. Research work for the same was conducted in the previous term, and this term was used to focus on building the creative aspects of the business plan. Product and Packaging prototypes, crowdfunding campaigns, and photoshoots were conducted. Doing this taught me how to work in difficult circumstances as I had limitations of being in India. I adjusted, paved my way, and did my research work all by myself. For FutureProof Personal Development, I worked on my blogs and website, developing skills while mapping out a plan.
I spent this term studying academically and looking for internships and jobs to gain experience post-graduation. My interest in fashion styling grew within the past year, and I became sure of pursuing it as my career. My teacher helped me realize my need to build my social media platforms, LinkedIn, and maintain contacts to make a mark in the industry. I focused on creating content for my Instagram page, increasing followers, gaining traction, and collaborations. I helped style my influencer friend for her shoots and promotional videos, thereby learning and obtaining experience.
Graduating in December, I have been waiting for this day for a year. I am looking forward to working, seeing what the real world has to offer, doing my master's in the fashion business, and most of all, my graduation ceremony.
