Instagram, launching in October 2010, gained a lot of traction and had 1 million users within 3 months. Ever since then, it has only risen with multiple changes and significant updates here and there. Today, it is a game-changer in the social media world. Many people depend upon a platform for their business, social causes, personal growth, or entertainment.

Instagram is not only a medium for people to express themselves and relate to but also employs a vast number of people. It supports entrepreneurs, beginnings to newcomers, a livelihood to influencers, bloggers, and marketers.

Me too, just like every other girl interested in fashion, especially styling, I am aiming to become an influencer and step up my Instagram. I thought content creation was all about wearing good clothes, clicking pictures, and shooting videos. I mean who wouldn't find that appealing. So I decided to dip my toes and shifted my account to a public account.

I started creating content by making schedules, pairing outfits, clicking pictures, buying equipments, and shooting videos at least twice every week. I gained 1200 followers during this time, with my videos reaching 10-13k. I did this religiously for 3 weeks till I got tired of it. From afar the Instagram life seems all glamorous and easy to cope with. I was not getting the perfect picture, clicking 200 images just for 1 to be good, spending 4 hours to shoot a 20 seconds reel. It all got hectic to cope along with my college and social life.

I began to recognize the genuine efforts behind the scenes and had a profound respect for all the content creators who spent so much time and effort behind every post. I realized that I had to learn a lot to make it on Instagram. I spent developing myself, learning video editing, hacked the shooting routine, lighting, and audio editing. This took me 3 months, and post that I shot once in a while but never got to uploading because I felt conscious of it.

Recently, I realized that I could not give up and have to keep going even if it gets tiring. This is why post graduating, I have already scheduled my posts and shoots, hoping to be regular.
