This term, beginning from January and ending in March, I started my third and final year in 'International fashion business.' Initially, it was challenging to cope with online studies, as it was relatively new, but I have started to get the hang of it.
In my module Future Fashion Innovators, we had a portfolio to be created in six months and started working on the same. My project topic was creating a convertible shoe brand. The primary research work for which was done during these months. I learned many things, such as the different markets and how they work, APA style referencing, and overcame my habit of procrastinating due to weekly submissions.
In the other module, Futureproof personal development, we individually discussed and decided on our future career and worked towards it. Mine being a stylist, I created presentations on the skills needed for the same. We also participated in a competition for the beauty brand Mary Kay, creating social media posts for them, and worked for a Singapore-based salon, 'Urbanhair,' for their launch.
These experiences taught me how to work for a genuine brand and tackle the problems, the skills I need to work on how to become a stylist. I also bettered my writing skills while working on multiple blogs.
I am further increasing my progress by personally pushing myself to do better and improvising.
