This term starting from July, is my second last term of the final year before graduation. Being 3 months away from graduating, this term was comparatively hectic with 3 modules.
The modules included Future Fashion Project for which research for a sustainable product business based in Singapore was conducted, Futureproof Personal Development wherein I focused on improving my skills and knowledge for my CV and website and Global Experience in Art & Design wherein we had to experience a trip to a fashionable city and visit fashion weeks, monumental places etc. to help us learn and adapt it in our future careers. As we were unable to travel, the global experience assignments were done based on secondary research.
This term was tough for me as studying online 2.5 hours behind in time took a toll on me. It wasn't easy to cope with my classmates and meet the deadlines. I procrastinated in every way and saw my work get affected as I did it last minute. Over time, my teachers helped me and I got back on schedule. Work was being done on time, and attention was being paid in class.
Academically I learned a lot of things. Researching a Singapore-based business plan got me out of my comfort zone and taught me about the wants and needs of people outside India. I even learned about the fashion and culture in Tokyo through global experience. Overall I developed my skills for my CV based on the real world as soon; I will be stepping out there.
To conclude, although I had a rough patch and might have it again, I am glad I got back on my schedule and hope that I continue to work hard and improve my flaws to have a smooth last term focusing on the quality of my work.
