In January 2021, I started the final year of my course ‘International Fashion Business,’ which has been a delightful six months since then. With my modules, including Future Fashion Innovators and Futureproof Personal Development, I came across new experiences and challenges.
The first significant assignment is a Professional portfolio. I learned a lot about entrepreneurship, the do’s and don’ts of business, marketing strategies, and brand elements. However, the other module helped me improve styling by hosting a styling event on Instagram with my classmates. It taught me about event management, the skills required to be a stylist, and organizing. I also benefited while continuing the promotion for Urbanhair Salon, learning about customer preferences and their reactions to our concepts.
The basic skills I got to learn and polish included my communication, problem-solving, and adaptability skills. Despite these, I am trying to improve my design and presentation skills by learning illustrations on procreating, video editing on iMovie, and exploring the possibilities with Canva.
My progress has most certainly been positive, but I hope to work on areas of improvement and development in the near future.
